LIKED THE REACH YOU GET WITH THIS CUTTER, EASY TO HANDLE AND WILL DO A GREAT JOB OF NEW GROWTH AND MODERATE SIZE HEDGE. NOT ENOUGH POWER FOR LARGER BRANCHES OR TOUGH SHRUBS.

I received mine on August 13, 2009 (two days with Prime) and on the 14th, proceeded to trim the hedges and a Chinese Holly. Well, after about two hours of work, everything was done both properly and quickly. The HedgeHog didn't exhibit any vibration problems nor did it get stuck on the thickest branches. It was relatively quiet as well. This fall or winter, I plan on trimming several other plants with this really efficient trimmer. Hats off to Black & Decker!!
(I used to use a Craftsman 18" unit which seemed to *constantly* get stuck on several branches. No more!!!) I should add, the longer reach of the HedgeHog meant far less work.

Hedge-Hog? Boy did I get ripped off. I thought I was buying a pig for a Bar-B-Q.
Have not used it yet, to hot in Phoenix in July/Aug.
Its a few cents less at Home Depot but I did save tax. I will have to do a better job of checking prices locally next time incase of an easier return. Nothing like Costco for a return if you can find the item their.
Really Does Cut Through 3/4" Branches July 23, 2009

I just received this last week and when I had the guarantee of a full day of sun I spent about 5 hours using the trimmer. Let me tell you, the Hedgehog had no problem slicing through the thickest branches on my bushes. The hollies and boxwoods around my house got out of control this year so I needed a larger hedge trimmer with a good supply of power. So after using this for a full 5 hrs I can say that I'm very happy with the results and hopefully I'll get many years use out of it.

Light weight but heavy duty. The unit is quiet and effective. I wish I had made this purchase a long time ago
