Black and Decker Hedgehog trimmer 23' October 27, 2009 Carl/Eileen (Tucson, AZ) Waited too long to buy this. Saves hours of hand trimming. Does a great job with lots of power. Electric is good way to go.
Cuts branches about half inch thick but should probably stick to smaller ones. All in all a great tool.
Black and Decker Hedge Hog trimmer 24 inch October 13, 2009 Timothy E. Danaj (Atlanta, Ga) Good trimmer for the money. Like the pigtale plug in, cord does not come out, like the long blade, a bit heavey. Doesn't seem to have a lock on the trigger, so you have to use two hands which can limit you when you need to make a cut while reaching.
It's powerful! September 24, 2009 J. R. Delhom (New Orleans) This is the third electric hedge trimmer I have bought in the last 38 years. My first was a smaller Black and Decker that gave good service. When it wore out I got a Ryobi from Home Depot that didn't last nearly as long. But this new Black and Decker is much more powerful. It cuts right through thick branches on the shrubbery. It doesn't jam. I selected it based on the good performance of my son's HedgeHog electric string trimmer. I am very well pleased and highly recommend this hedge trimmer.
It sure beats a pair of hand shears.
Great Trimmer September 23, 2009 Dean Black and Decker make great products! This is the latest in my armamentarium, and of course lives up to the name!
Pros:
- light, easy to use
- fast
Cons:
- wish it was cordless!
great tool September 12, 2009 J. Ashburn (Indianapolis, IN) Very good trimmer. Weight and balance is very good for a trimmer of this size. Made trimming my 22 shrubs a breeze compared to my previous trimmer. Good power for my heavier yew branches.
