First of all, Amazon shipped this with the worst packaging ever. They slapped a sticker on the manufacturers box and sent it off. The package was all ripped up. I suspect that the bar may have been damaged because a butter knife cuts better than this hunk of junk. My little 14" Remington beats the pants off this saw. If I replace the bar and chain I may get better results.
Junk. Buy from a store, not from Amazon.

I was cutting through a 12 inch cedar tree, when the chainsaw motor went up in smoke. I had only used it once before on a plum tree that had fallen in high winds. I called Poulan Pro customer service and they were rude and not willing to assist with recommendations for a chainsaw that could cut small trees (it was out of warranty). I also went to their website for help and no one has written back. Very disappointed in their customer service and their product.

Best saw I have ever had. All my work is around home and the gas powered saw is hard to start when hot so using it is a problem. This saw is wonderful to use.

ORDERED AND RECEIVED THIS CHAIN SAW FAIRLY QUICKLY. UPON RECEIPT, I IMMEDIATELY PUT IT TO WORK. I WORKED IT FOR ABOUT TWO HOURS AND THEN IT SUDDENLY STOPPED. I CHECKED THE POWER SOURCE AND IT WAS OKAY. CHECKED IT WITH OTHER SOURCES AND IT STILL REFUSED TO RUN. I PACKED IT BACK IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX AND SHIPPED IT BACK. IT ARRIVED AT ITS DESTINATION THE SAME DAY I RECEIVED MY REPLACEMENT SAW. I HAVE WORKED THE REPLACEMENT SAW LONGER THAN THE ORIGINAL SAW SURVIVED. SO FAR, I AM HAPPY WITH THE POULON PRO 400E AND WITH THE PRICE I PAID FOR IT. I HAVE TO ADMIT I ALSO HAVE A POULON WILD THING CHAINSAW AND IT HAS GIVEN ME FITS TRYING TO START IT. AFTER THE FIRST ELECTRIC SAW FAILED TO WORK, MY FIRST REACTION WAS TO CHUCK BOTH AND GET A DIFFERENT BRAND NAME SAW. BUT SINCE I HAVE COOLED DOWN.

Working on four downed trees in my back yard. This saw ia a BEAST! Cuts like buttah!!!! Easily matches my old gas Husqy
The cord limits your range and the directions suggest a heavier guage extension cord than I'v been using (at around 100', but I've seen no dropoff in performance.
Price was right, arrived in a couple of days, no tax, free shipping....no gas driving to the store!
Highly reccomend!!!!!!
