It gives my lawn that crisp finished look I want, it's easy to use and it is consistent. In three years of use, I've only had to replace the blade once.

I think most of the people giving this edger a 5 star rating have not had a gas edger. Coming from a gas edger I was dissapointed in the power and cutting ability of this edger. I had one of the little two-stroke gas edgers before this one and I thought I would try electric but I was sorry I did. Even the little bitty gas edger put this one to shame in power and cutting quality. This edger only cuts about 60% of the grass and the rest it pushes away! It makes the job harder to because it barely has enough power making you the operator put forth more work to get it through the grass. It does not cut nearly as sharp an edge as a gas edger either. I took mine back to Lowes and got there 5 HP 4 cycle Model 554 Troy-Bilt for $250.00 and boy am I glad I did. Effortless power, easy to start, no cord hassel, and way a better cutting job. I tried electricity and I am back to gas. If you haven't tried gas you owe it to yourself to try one. You will never go back to electric.

OK, so I was a little late buying into the whole "Keeping up with the Jones's" landscaping and lawn look.
Having been one of the last neighbors on the block to edge our sidewalk I finally decided it was time. My wife brought home the Black and Decker LE750 and within 20 minutes I had it out of the box assembled and ready to go.
This thing was slicing through 3-4 inches of THICK dirt and grass (4 years) growth like it was soft butter.
I had to stop every 2 feet just to pick up the huge scraps and discard them. I'm on my 3rd year with this edger
and I have been noting less than rough with it (careful, it will chip your sidewalk/driveway into little pieces). Works like a charm and for $89?? I'd say it's well worth what I paid for it. And the "edged look" is a WOW, what a
difference.

This is a great edger with a lot of power. I believe one of the most important things is using a
heavy enough electric cord. I use #12 wire cable with a length of 100'. I have burnt out two many
motors using a light electric cord. I have read negative reports on this edger complaining the
motor froze up. ( This will occure with too light a cord )

I purchased this edger based on all of the fabulous ratings here on Amazon. By purchasing it from Amazon, I saved at least $20 bucks. It was ten dollars cheaper than the the lowest retail price I could find locally and I did not have to pay shipping or taxes so it was a great deal all around.
The best part is that I love this edger!!! The assembly was extremely simple and it has a surprising amount of power. If you want to add that perfect finishing touch to your yard too, buy this edger ... you will not regret it :)
