Product Description
Includes 18-in Electric Mulching Mower - MM275, Attachable Side-chute

Amazon.com Product Description
Quiet, lightweight, convenient, clean: Black & Decker has built a great mower for the homeowner. This Black & Decker 18-inch electric mulching mower features an electric 9-amp motor that is plenty powerful for the average homeowner's yard without the hassle of pull-cord starting, mixing gas and oil, running out of fuel, smelly fumes or pollution. Because it it's so light (just 39 pounds), even the least brawny homeowner can handle this cutter without trouble. Another nice feature is the one-touch lever that raises and lowers all four wheels at once from 1 inch to 3-1/2 inches, saving the trouble of adjusting each wheel's height. Assembly is minimal with no tools required. It it's a great mulcher, but if you prefer to bag, you can add the side bag attachment that's sold separately. This electric mulching mower has an 18-inch cutting deck, is made of tough polymer, and comes with a removable discharge chute, built-in mulch door and combo blade for mulching. This product is backed by a lifetime guarantee. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste

1 out of 5 stars very bad cheaply made thing   June 25, 2010
I. robinson (Ukraine)
I have thi product little bit more than one year. First year everything was good and perfect. I was so happy!!! But it was not too long. My little mashine on second year did bring me a lot of problems and big headache. It 's really made very cheaply.
If you don't want each year buy new lawnmower forget for buying this one...

5 out of 5 stars Excellent buy for small to medium lawns   June 21, 2010

I purchased this item from Amazon on sale for 139.99 (or thereabout) in September of 2002. My Dad had a B&D he bought back in the the 70's when I was a kid and we used for twenty years at least and that performance plus cost prompted me to do same. I have used this mower without issue until last month, The fan located above cutting blade lost one of its blades causing a major vibration. I found the part online from Web (less than 20 bucks). In less then 15 mins I replaced the fan (remove one nut, remover retainer, then blade and fan) sharpened the blade reassembled and was mowing. Mower ran like brand new.

Pros: It is light wight easy to push even on heavy slopes. Instant on and off for hydration breaks, moving from front to back etc. More than powerful enough for even tall grass (for when I got lazy and missed a weekend). Easy to clean. Easy to fix. Much more quit than gas mowers. No noxious smoke. No mixing oil and gas. No storing combustibles.
Cons: The cord does need some practice to be sure that when you mow, the cord always lays were you have completed. To be honest this did take me two seasons to get good at it and I did need to replace the cord once (my bad). Did I mention the cord.

Regardless of the cord I would purchase it again without question. And have recommended it to my friends and neighbors.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent value   June 10, 2010

I have a relatively small urban lot, and bought this electric mulching mower last summer when we moved in. The mower arrived within two days, and I was out mowing right away. The mower mulches very well and seems to cut fine. It is not the best mowing performance I have experienced, but is fully adequate. The distance from the front of the mower to the edge of the cutting blade is quite long, so it is difficult to cut in close to walls, fences, etc. This has not been a big issue for me. The mower is fairly light weight and easy to lug out of the basement. The cord is a bit tricky to handle, but not too bad. I did pinch myself several times at first with the power lever, as mentioned by other reviewers, but have not done it in several months. This is a very good value, cheaper than most gas mowers and basically no maintenance other than cleaning and periodic sharpening of the blade.

5 out of 5 stars B&D MM-275 Electric Mower   April 26, 2010

Owned same mower in NY, now again in FL. Very light to push and does a great job. A snap to put together. Easy to run.

1 out of 5 stars The MM275 is cheap and flimsy   April 3, 2010

I bought the Black And Decker MM275 based only on an Amazon recommendation. Within minutes of using this lawn mower I knew that my purchase of the MM275 was a mistake.

Cons:

* The bar height is not adjustable. I'm 5'11", and the bar is below my waist, which is uncomfortable.

* The power switch is mushy soft plastic, like a chew toy for a dog. This essential part feels like it will break within a year, and reviews of similar Black And Decker lawn mowers say that it does.

* The power connector doesn't have a lock or clip, so the power cord falls out. You'll need to tape or glue the power cord to the switch housing.

* The motor is under-powered. I had to mow my lawn twice to get an even cut.

* The shroud has a big nose. You can't do edges with this mower.

Pros:

* Very light. You can mow with one hand.
