Product Description 100', 14/3, SJTW-A, Orange, Round Vinyl, Extension Cord, Indoor/Outdoor, 13A, 125V, UL Listed, Meets Osha Requirements.
Amazon.com Review This bright-red outdoor extension cord from Coleman Cable stands out even in the most overgrown lawn, making it difficult to carelessly run over with an electrical mower. The 3-conductor, 14-gauge wire SJTW extension cord has a 13-amp rating and extends 100 feet--making it the ideal connection for an electrical skill saw or a strand of Christmas lights. Its vinyl jacket resists the elements, and protects against oil spills and everyday wear and tear. Heavy-duty, molded-on plugs and connectors provide both safety and long-lasting durability. The extension cord is UL listed, and in compliance with OSHA requirements. --Jessica Reuling

Coleman Cable 14/3 August 16, 2010 Margie S. (McEwen, TN.) I ordered this cord for my Black and Decker Lawn Hog electric lawnmower. Black and Decker have now revised the plug inlet to fit round plugs and I will be able to use my 12/3 extension cord instead. However, I plan to keep this cord as well; it looks to be well constructed and the ends are a smaller shape.
Gets the job done July 17, 2010 Concerned reader (San Diego) I have to say that this is a pretty good cord. Flexible and powerful, I use it for both my B&D Lawn Hog as well as a Stihl weed whacker. Only one issue with it and part of it is my fault. The little grounding plug isn't attached in there all that well. So if you get busy working on your yard and accidentally reach 100ft a couple of times, that ground plug comes right off. That's why I give it 4 stars, because it does the job well, but it doesn't handle mistakes you might make judging distance very well!
Good wires June 1, 2010 Matt Chen 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
i know this won't be a helpful review but all i can say is that this product is good and durable and meets the expectations.
Potential fire hazard January 28, 2010 Allan Ray Miller 14 out of 18 found this review helpful
This extension cord has two great pros but one very serious con.
Pros:
1) You don't want an extension cord that is not rated for the amps you need. Otherwise you'll burn up the motor in your equipment over time and ruin your device. This extension cord delivers 13 amps over 100 feet which is great. I can run my 12 amp snow blower or my 12 amp leaf blower and know their electric motors are protected. Check the amp rating before you buy any cord, and do not run extension cords in series. The extra distance will create resistance and drop the current the cords can deliver to your equipment.
2) It stays very pliable even in cold weather. I first used the cord on 12/19/2009. Our community (DC/Baltimore area) got 21.5 inches of snow: an all time record for that day (12/9), an all time record for the month of December, and one of the top ten single-day snowfalls of all time for our area. (This was as all of the politicians were flying back to Washington DC from the Copenhagen so-called "global warming" summit and all of the regional airports were closed because of the record snow. What irony, eh?) Anyway my electric snow blower can only handle snow depths of up to 8 inches. So I had to clear my driveway, go back out hours later & do it again, repeat several times. I left the cord outside in subzero temperatures for 24 hours. It was very easy to manipulate in even the coldest of temperatures - a vast improvement over my previous extension cords.
Con:
The plug is oversized and consequently won't fit snugly in all sockets depending upon their size. BE CAREFUL. If you don't get it to fit snugly, a loose fit can cause the wires to overheat and start a fire. One other reviewer claimed a fire happened to him and I have little doubt that this is the cause. I plan to keep using my extension cord because I'm aware of the problem and will double if not triple check every time that I use it. However I cannot recommend anything that is a potential fire hazard. The plugs should be redesigned to be smaller. A simple fix, but until then beware!
Great Basic Cord December 24, 2009 Jeffrey L. Dougan This cord works great, easy to see and a descent price. Allows me to use my electric snow thrower and reach my entire driveway length!
